Completely Improvised Survivor at MICF!

Who will outwit, outplay, and outlaugh? Find out April 2022 at Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

Completely Improvised Survivor is a 50-minute nostalgia-filled unscripted parody of pop culture's most infamous reality TV show. Join us each night as the contestants fight their way through fictional tribal councils, playable onstage challenges and Jeff Probst's meddling to be crowned the sole Survivor by the audience. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for the real hidden immunity idol stashed in the theatre – it could be anywhere.

The all-star cast features some of Australia's top tier improvisers, including alumni of The Big HOO-HAA!, The Improv Conspiracy, Impro Melbourne, The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, Completely Improvised Potter, Completely Improvised Shakespeare and more! They will backstab, manipulate and schmooze their way to victory, live, right before your eyes. It’s all made up on the spot, so every night is a brand-new show with fresh heroes, villains and goats.

Completely Improvised Survivor is co-produced by Melissa McGlensey and Douglas Wilson, in conjunction with Soothplayers.

Melissa performs with The Big HooHaa at MICF!

Join Melbourne’s funniest improvisers as they travel back in time!

The Big HOO-HAA! enjoyed sold-out shows at Melbourne Town Hall the last three Melbourne International Comedy Festivals, and they’re ready to do it all again in 2022. This time, three of the most iconic decades of the 20th century will inspire every improvised song, story and punchline.

The April 4 show sees these comedy crusaders turning back the clock to the swinging '60s to celebrate counterculture, pop art and Beatlemania. On April 11, don your bell-bottoms and fringe vests to get funky with the age of disco – the 1970s. Then on April 18, the shoulder pads and glam metal tights come out as Melbourne’s funniest improvisers explore everything '80s.

Featuring a 'who’s who?' of Melbourne’s finest comedians, The Big HOO-HAA! Through the Ages serves up fast, furious and funny improv. You can’t afford to miss this!

"Networking Lunch" gets publicly released!

Here it is! The public release of my short film, "Networking Lunch."

I learned so much from making this film, and met some incredible people along the way. Thank you to everyone who has helped out in any way, small or large. Thanks to all the cast and crew for all their hard work and talent, and a special thank you to my amazing actors who I had no right to get to agree to doing this film.

I hope you enjoy it! It's been a fun journey including several years, many festivals, and even two Best Comedy Awards! Now it's time to start thinking about my next short film project...
